This is a Beautiful Vintage Italian Gold Embossed Leather Umbrella Case.<br>The listing is for the empty case ONLY; as found it did not have an umbrella with it.<br>The country of origin is not marked as Italy, but the case exhibits the style and quality that is the hallmark of fine Italian leather craftsmen.  I am fairly confident that this attribution is correct, and we will 100% guarantee your satisfaction with your purchase.  The case was purchased from an estate and is thought to be circa Mid Century.<br>The leather is a rich golden-brown color, with gold embossed designs.  I took a number of photos of the case to try and get the color right, including adjusting the contrast and brightness. The color seen is pretty close, but I would say that the actual shade of brown is a bit lighter with a more golden tone than is apparent in the photos.<br>Please note that the case is monogrammed BM on one side as seen.  Although any item of fine leather can obviously be monogrammed, free monogramming for tourist leather purchases, is a common offering at the leather making shops in Florence and other cities, and I think that adds to the likelihood that this case is Italian.<br>The case is 12 3/4" long , exclusive of the clasp, and the useful chain for carrying and for hanging on a coat hook.  The outside width is about 2 12/" at the top, tapering to about 1 3/4" at the bottom, and the maximum overall depth is about 1 3/4".  The case is obvious made for a tapered, compact umbrella.  The inside length measurement is about 12".<br>The inside of the case is unlined and the gray / neutral color seen is the unfinished side of the outer leather.<br>The frame and chain are made from a brass colored leather.<br>Condition<br>The case is in very good condition with just a little light wear toward the top adjacent to the clasp, and on the bottom, as seen in a pair of closeup photos.<br>Please visit our<br>ebay store<br>to view a wide variety of antique, vintage and contemporary items.<br>International Buyers – Please Note:<br>Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost.
